Summertime

Well, it's almost been a month since Jordan finished school. We've had fun so far, though I'm sure the kids would much rather be doing more. It's just too dang hot around here. I've been busy going to rehersals. I'm singing in the choir for the "We The People" production put on by the Shadow Mountain Community Players.

I'm also getting things ready for Jordan's dental surgery happening early Wednesday morning. Got to make sure I have all the paperwork together to take with us. Will be a long and stressful day.

I'm also trying to find the time to scrap. Luckily I've been able to wrangle the computer from the kids long enough to create a few. My lastest is a scraplift of one of my fellow Faith Sisters. Nothing like a good scraplift or sketch to get your creative juices flowing.

Digi-time Woes

Since school has gotten out for Jordan, it's been one tug after another with finding time to be on my computer. Melody had decided she's old enough to play, and her brother doesn't want her to. So because of the power struggle, I've not had much time to scrap. Though I do have one to show I did up a couple of days ago...just getting around to post it.

I'm hoping to get to feeling better. Staying up too late, and then sleeping in too late (if there is such a thing) is wearing on me bad.

Movie Making

The past couple of Saturday's were spent filming Loney's latest movie. It's supposed to be for the Chiller TV Dare 2 Direct contest, but we're not sure if they are going to host it this year. So he'll enter it in the Pahrump Film Festival sometime around November. Here's a few shots of our "monsters"

It's been a fun process to be apart of. I'm looking forward to Loney's finished product.

Big Winner!!

So there's a new website called The Scrap Review that reviews various scrapbooking products on the market, plus giveaways on some of the products they review. The contributers are very informative and it's a great resource.

Well, this past week they've had a raffle going on to help raise funds to keep the site up and running. They've given away paper packs, gift certificates, quote book, and other miscellaneous scrapbook products. Saturday was the BIG day. They were giving away a Cricut Expression, Quickutz Silhouette SD, and a Purple Cow Trimmer pack.

I decided to purchase some raffle tickets for Saturday just because these are awesome prizes to be won. Well, I lucked out! I WON THE QUICKUTZ SILHOUETTE SD!!!! Click here to see my name!

How cool is that!?! I was thrilled because I've been debating about purchasing a silhouette for a little bit...now I don't have to!! I'm sooo excited to get my machine and try it out. Stay tuned for posting on what I create with the machine.

New Additions

I've been such a slacker with the blog lately that I haven't posted pictures of my new niece and nephew.

Marissa Xue Childress was born on May 12 and is such a cutie. She's been giving her mother a hard time with trying to fatten up. She was 5lb 5oz and 19in long. She is adorable though and I've throughly enjoyed getting to hold her and get to know her.

Patrick Garrett Krambule was born early morning of May 27. He comes in at a whopping 7lb 13oz and 20in long. A far cry bigger then Marissa. I can't wait to meet him in the next few months (hopefully) so he can get to know the best aunt in the world!!

I promise I'll be better with my blogging. Just hard when the summertime blues are hitting hard. I'm soo not looking forward to the oppressive Nevada heat and trying to find things for the kids to do that doesn't involve going outside. Other then sleeping in....summer is gonna be a bear.

Sweet Serenity

Pineapple Plantation has a gorgeous new kit call Sweet Serenity at Scrap Orchard. It's a beautiful mix of blues and greens with just a hint of pink. So versitile, and simply fabulous. Check it out and for this week only you can get it 20% off. Gotta love that!!

I know, I know....

I've been a big time slacker in the bloggin department. Not sure what's been keeping me away, but I'll try to do better I promise.

Had a great weekend visiting with Family and Friends. Saturday was a BBQ farewell for mom and dad. Jordan was sooo excited to swim at Uncle Lee's house. Melody had a blast as well. She even ran around in the buff thoroughly enjoying herself.

Sunday was the actual day of Mom and Dad speaking in church before they leave. Oh man but I'm gonna miss them while they are away. Not that I don't think they shouldn't go...they just do so much for all of us kids. The grandkids are going to miss them too. They will be truly blessed by Heavenly Father as will all of us at home.

I love you both and am so proud of you deciding to go on this journey together.
